TAKING A GARDEN BREAK!

Remember To always Do Your Best Be Blessed and Grow Something. Anything!
Sometimes we need to take a break. A break from the norm so to say. A break from gardening, cooking, writing, even thinking. Stilling your mind to breathe in the aromas of life especially life in the garden.

Yes that's right, life in the garden!

So I took break from planting pruning, clipping, digging, tying, screwing, hammering, tacking, hooking, feeding, raking, shoveling, sweeping, hosing down, touching up and of course planting!

Two things I didn't take a break from was harvesting and watering what's here from Spring. Watering is always important in a city where it never rains, we need to water in order to maintain the growth of fall plants to come as well. Keeping the soil moist between feedings allows us to have a easy Fall/Winter growing season.

We are still waiting on the Brussel Sprouts to get larger, while eating the leafy greens they produce! YUMMY! Sometimes I feel a little guilty for not dropping more seeds and just watching what's already here grow. But then I realize we all need a break...Now its time to get back to work!

Do you take garden breaks? If so, for how long and why?

Leave a comment as to when and why you take garden breaks! We love hearing from our WhollyLivin' Garden Family!
